Creating a Path for Learning in the 21st Century

I work as the technology liaison with the Coastal Area Writing Project and this past Saturday morning (yesterday) we had a morning workshop. After the break, it was my time to help the teacher consultants with our group ning. As I was setting up during the break around 10:30 AM, I happened to click my link to CNN.com. Most of the participants were still meeting in their groups. When CNN displayed on the huge projection screen, the room became slowly became silent as each person focused toward the screen.  It was like one of those moments when I was riding with friends down the Myrtle Beach Boulevard as an eleventh grader and heard about the death of the King of Rock and Roll.
